Like many knitters while I learnt to knit as a child, it wasn’t until I had children of my own that the knitting bug really took off. I discovered gorgeous wools, modern designs and the ubiquitous Ravelry.
I soon discovered a love of designing, I’ve been published in a number of publications from Knit Now, to international collections such as Stitch Seekers and Knit Picks. More recently, when exploring texture wasn’t enough I’ve delved into colour ~ dying yarn, especially British wool. I am constantly inspired by the English countryside and historical environment around me.
My mind is constantly turned by form, texture and colour, especially the colours and texture of nature and the worn and faded ruins of the many historical sites found in this part of middle England, often overlooked, but endlessly fascinating in the detail..
